Module 1 “ Part I : BASIC CARDIOLOGY (10 Marks)
- Applied cardiac anatomy,applied cardiac physiology Pharmacology embryology and pathology ( 3 MARKS)
- Cardiac evaluation by invstigations : electrocardiogram, Xray Chest PA view ,cOronary angiography , echocardiography stress echo cardiography strain imaging. 3 D and 4 D imaging of disease states Right hreart catheterisation, Left heart ctheterisation, Stress test, cardiovascular CT and MRI PET scan and viability assessment. Physiological assessment of CAD ( 5 marks)
- Genetic in CVD, gene therapy in CVD (2 marks)
Module 2 PART II CLINICAL CARDIOLOGY (15 marks)
Clinical cardiology
Epidemiology , etiopathogenesis Clinical features diagnosis, differential diagnosis, tresatment compliations prognosis and prevention of the following disease sates ( 5 marks each)
i) Atherosclerotic heart disease- ACS CCS
ii) Valvular heart disease and infective endocarditis
iii) CHD in infants , children adults –both cyanotic and acyanotic
Module 3 (15 Marks)
Epidemiology , etiopathogenesis Clinical features diagnosis, differential diagnosis, tresatment compliations prognosis and prevention of the following disease sates ( 5 marks each)
a) Heartfailure mangemnt – ADHF and CHF
b) Hypertension
c) Cardiac arryhtmia management – medical antiarrythmic therapy and interventional mangemnt, SCD and its evaluation and management
