1. Educational Qualification : Pass in Pre-Degree examination of a recognised University or any equivalent qualification.
2. Physical Qualification: Must be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below.
   1) Height 160 cm
   2) Chest Measurement 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm
3. Must be certified by a District Medical Officer of the Health Services Department as to his physiques and fitness and capacity for outdoor works and as to the visual standards specified below 
   1 Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 
   2 Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 
4. Candidates should produce a medical certificate in original at the time of Certificate Verification in the form prescribed here under certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses obtained from a District Medical officer .
