A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto.

A pass in TTC (Tamil) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
or
A Degree in any subject and B.Ed/B.T/L.T (Tamil) conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.
