Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualifications:
   Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification
   (i) Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable.
   (ii) In addition to the qualification specified in the Notification, the
   ualification declared by Government through executive orders or standing orders, as equivalent to the prescribed educational  ualification and the higher qualifications of the notified and prescribed basic qualifications shall be accepted. The Government Order regarding the equivalent qualification/higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission.
2. Physical Qualifications:
   1. (i) Must have at least 150 cm height.
   2. (ii) Eye sight:Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below  without glasses.
      1. Distant Vision – 6/6 Snellen – 6/6  Snellen – Right Eye
      2. Near Vision – 0.5 – Snellen 0.5 Snellen – Left Eye
      3. Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification.
      4. Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing.
      5. Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test
         1. 100 Metres Run – 17 seconds
         2. High Jump – 1.06 metres
         3. Long Jump – 3.05 metres
         4. Putting the shot (weight of the shot 4 Kg) – 4.88 metres
         5.  200 metres run – 36 seconds
         6. Throwing the throw ball – 14 metres
         7. Shuttle Race (4 X 25 metres) – 26 seconds
         8. Skipping (One minute) – 80 times
