Qualifications:

1. Pass in S.S.L.C or equivalent.
   AND
2. Any one of the following qualifications.
   a) Draftsman Course (Mechanical) Diploma of ITC (MTI) Thrissur.
   b) Drawing Group Certificate (KGTE or MGTE)
   c) Second Grade Certificate secured by Draftsman (Civil or Mechanical) Trainees under TT scheme, College of Engineering or under ITC, conducted by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India, after a course of 18 months.
   d) A pass in Building Drawing and Estimating (Lower) KGTE/MGTE and any two of the Civil Engineering subjects under KGTE/MGTE
   e) ITI Certificate in Draftsman Trade (Civil or Mechanical) or in survey Trade
   f) Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University.
